Interfaith and Secular Humanistic

All texts in this section are suited for marriages in which one of the partners in not Jewish. The choice of text will depend on the level to which couples’ intend to incorporate Judaism into their lives. These texts make fewer references to Jewish tradition but rather convey building a home that will represent the joining of different heritages.

The Secular Humanistic text (version B, Judaism) is required by the Association of Humanistic Rabbis and the Leadership Conference of Secular and Humanistic Jews. If couples decide to incorporate Hebrew text, it will be a direct translation of the English.
